The Team
SSC Ventures have an experienced management team with decades of experience in the construction industry. We carry out the majority of our projects using in house staff and use stringently vetted specialised sub contractors where required.
Our history
SSC Ventures limited began in January 2014 mainly focusing on Building consultancy. Since that point the team has expanded to include a construction team under a director with over 10 years experience in the commercial environment. In 2017 SSC took on Harry Rice as construction director. Harry has bought further experience to the management team allowing us to expand our construction portfolio.
Our specialities
Our main focus centres around domestic extensions, conversions and refurbishment, however we will consider a large variety of schemes and have carried out a range of projects for bathroom design to large HMO Development. In 2017 SSC began to expand and we will now undertake smaller projects such as kitchen and bathroom renovations.
We also cover commercial and industrial work.
Past Projects
14 Ivor grove
In 2016 we where approached by a company looking to partner with a construction team to assist with their roll out of 12 HMO (House of Multiple Occupation) dwellings. the first project involved a large side and rear extension to a 3 bedroom house to create a 6 bedroom house with 5 en-suite bathrooms, one main bathroom and a large communal kitchen. The client is very pleased with the first site, some images of which can be seen below.
Shortmead Street
The Shortmead street project involved converting an old commercial unit into one 2 bedroom apartment and one 2 bedroom maisonette. The project involved many challenges including working with the planning department to keep the exterior of the building in keeping with the rest of the street due to the property being located in a conservation area.
Courtlands Drive
In May 2018 SSC completed a large 2 storey side extension to a property in Biggleswade Bedfordshire. The extension included a new kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 ensuite bathrooms and a built in garage. SSC Ventures took the project on from the concept design phase, organised the planning application for the client and dealt directly with building control during the construction works.
Stewartby Extension
This extension consisted of a single and double story. with new open space and gaining a new bedroom with ensuite.

Charity Work
In June 2018 we cycled the 54 miles from London to Brighton to raise money for research to prevent CJD
Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) is a degenerative brain disorder caused by misfolded prion proteins, which destroy brain cells. The disease is rapidly progressive and leads to death usually within 1 year of onset of illness and often much sooner.

We are raised money for this worthy cause following the extremely sad passing of Jane who was taken far too soon by the inherited type of this devastating illness. Jane was a very much loved wife, mother, sister, nanna and friend.
